The making-of "Mercedes-Benz 9G-TRONIC"
From the start, the motto of this shoot was: tight timings, great locations!
We kicked off at the Mercedes-Benz factories in Untertürkheim and Hedelfingen, where we re-enacted the most important stages in the new transmission’s genesis, for our story spanning from development to production.
Here, we’d like to once again extend our thanks to the client for their top-notch organisation! A special highlight was the impromptu support of the Untertürkheim factory fire brigade, who made it possible for us to float high above the B14 motorway on their huge aerial ladder.
Unfortunately, follow-up filming in Austria and Italy had to be cancelled due to rain and we were forced to break-up the shoot, resuming two weeks later… a decision that was rewarded with 4 days of brilliant blue skies!
First stop was the torque converter assembly in Gaggenau, and then we rocked Austria’s Kauner, Oetz, and Lüsner valley.
We are currently overhauling our Making-of clips due to the new data protection regulation.
…and it wasn’t just the shotmaker, speedcar and drone that made the director and DOP’s hearts beat faster – filming in tourist areas is just so damn nice...
The crowning finish was our final shooting day in Schenna where not just our future audiences were rewarded with a breathtaking view over the Vinschgau Valley.
Thanks again to our great team!
Each and every individual once again made filming a blast – the first rushes are mindblowing and we look forward to scaling new heights together again in the future.
